Introduction

The optical illusions in art have mystified viewers for many years. Many of us are familiar with some of the "Op Art" images but know little about who created them and how they managed to trick our eyes.

This web quest is designed to send you traveling through the different styles of optical art and teach you about the artists who created such illusions.

Here you will also learn about the "special effects" created and perhaps see how they are applied to many areas such as animated graphics and in the illusions seen on the movie screen.
