Media

The materials artists use in their art.

Drawing tools can include many things such as pencil, charcoal, pastels, pen & ink or conte crayons.

Paints might include water color, oils, acrylics, colored ink, casin or most any liquid substance.

Molded media are things that can be shaped from something soft such as clay. Glass blowers form their work from melted glass.

Carved media is that which can be cut or chipped away such as wood, marble, plastic, and even soap.

Film is usually used with special equipment needed for photography, video taping, and elaborate movie making.

Fabrics are used in a variety of crafts such as needlework, leathercrafts, and soft sculptures.

Junk can be most anything. Unique sculptures and other designs can be made from everyday trash.

A wide variety of materials are used in architecture. Paper mache' uses paper and wheat paste. Masks can be made from most anything including weeds, lace, metals, wood, ceramics, and beads.
